Golden Rock (Kyaiktiyo)
"Just a strand of the Buddha's hair ..."
The third most importand Buddhist pilgrim destination is about 200 km north-east of Yangon.
The rock and the pagoda are on the top of Mt. Kyaiktiyo.
Hiking up all the way to the Golden Rock takes about 5 hours.
If you don't want to walk all the way you can catch an overcrowded open-air truck.
It will bring you up almost all of the way.
