Pyin Oo Lwin

"A charming british colonial atmosphere and an overwhelming beautiful Botanical Garden are waiting for you ..."

Pyin Oo Lwin, 70km north-east of Mandalay, is a scenic hill town with british colonial style houses.

Pyin Oo Lwin is the center of the country's flower and vegetable production and famous for its unique horse carts, that still enrich the streetscape. Catch one of them to get to the beautiful National Kandawgyi Botanical Gardens!

A steep but short downhill hike will lead you to the Anisaken Waterfalls south of town.

Some kilometers north of town more attractions are waiting for you: The Pyeik Chin Miang caves with hundreds of Buddha images inside, the picturesque Pwe Kauk Waterfalls and the nearby shiny Aung Htu Kan Tha Pagoda with its marble Buddha image.
